Courtyard by Marriott Hickory

The check in and check out staff were friendly. The hotel was in a great location, located right next to the convention center where our conference was being held. Also conveniently located near the on off exit with several restaurants in the area. The room was nice, clean, the bed was extremely comfortable with nice bedding. I enjoyed having the Hallmark channel as an option! I felt very comfortable in this room. I would recommend and I would stay again when in this area.

Overall my stay was pleasant. My room was clean and the Keurig was well stocked. The bedding isn’t as plush as it used to be but I’m assuming that is due to Covid-19 protocol. The restaurant kitchen wasn’t consistently open in the evening but the staff were very nice as were the hotel front desk staff. The gym was perfect for my workouts and the pool area was fantastic. This is my go-to place to stay when I come home to visit family and friends.

I’ve stayed here for business several times now, and the service is consistently excellent- from the front desk to the cafe and everywhere in between. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. Definitely my go-to when in Hickory!!

After reserving a room at the nearby Hampton Inn, I was notified at the last minute that their pool was closed for renovations. Fortunately, when I called the Courtyard in Hickory, they were more than happy to accommodate my last minute booking! PROS: - The room was so luxurious and comfortable! - Forgot to bring a charging cable for your phone? No problem! The alarm clock/telephone has USB-C, lightning, and micro-USB cables built-in! I plugged my phone into the Type-C connector and it seemed to charge at regular speed! - The pool is heated! - The "FAQ" they handed me at check-in was very helpful, and helped me avoid being charged extra for Wi-Fi! Mariott's captive portal makes it all too easy to access the "upgraded network" by accident, which could result in an additional charge to your

Rooms were clean and fresh smelling. Beds and pillows were nice and comfy. Lobby and common areas were very nice and comfy. No good views to be had here, but the hotel is close to everything and the atmosphere is quiet and restful.
