Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hickory

If I could give a zero star I would. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had in my life with a hotel. No compassion or common sense for that matter whatsoever. I looked through Priceline and my room was paid for when I arrived. I then had to pay the $100 deposit and a $20 pet fee and I had no problem with that. Presented my card to the man working this evening. He took my card, ran my card and then told me that it declined it. I said no problem. Let me check my out and it showed that the amount had come out. It said on hold and the amount and gave a transaction ID. I showed the night clerk and he said no we didn't receive it. So I thought maybe it was some odd situation so I called my card while he proceeded to run it again. This is two times that my card was charged $115 two

I enjoyed my stay. I noticed that the breadspread was ripped but the mattrass was comfortable. The water pressure for the shower could be stronger but I would come back and stay here again.|The location is good. It is quiet and peaceful at night.

Had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect. They had a very nice walking/biking trail...after the long car ride on our journey this was a plus! The room was an awesome surprise...I expected just an average room, this one exceeded my expectations...it was a very pretty room, not to mention clean, very comfortable bed, all the amenities we needed, the staff was friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Especially the front desk lady. Wished I would have asked for her name. She was exceptional. I highly recommend this place!

Positive: "" Negative: I booked this hotel because it said it had an indoor pool, since I have little kids. At the hotel, there was no pool. The rooms weren't very clean, and there was a couple outside the front of the hotel shooting up drugs.

We had reservations at another hotel, but there were building issues. We checked 3 other hotels, but they couldn't accommodate us. We were welcomed even though it was after 11. The gentleman at the desk was kind and informative. We are in Hickory several times a year. We will be back!
