Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Des Moines Urbandale

For the category of hotel, this was one of the better ones I've stayed in. The bed was so comfortable. The location was convenient to highways. Everything was very clean. Colleen at the front desk is the absolute best. Talk about positive customer experience. My colleagues and I who all stayed here all talked about one particular staff member and that was Miss Colleen. Such out-of-this-world positive energy that it was hard not to smile the minute you saw her at the front desk. She is genuine, kind, funny and just all around a pleasant lady to interact with. The other lady, whose name I didn't catch was also very pleasant and gave great energy. I didn't really eat the breakfast due to my diet (though I did snag a few pieces of bacon one day and a banana nut muffin). Both were good. Choice

We chose this hotel because Marriott has always been reputable for high service and clean hotel rooms. It did not disappoint! Smooth check in and convenient room location. Room was super clean, especially the bed! As a former hotelier, I always check for bed bugs at the headboard area, and this bed was "triple" protected with fitted sheet, mattress pad and then with having mattress inside a protector bag. No bugs here! Bathroom was squeaky clean with no sticky floor and fresh towels! Our family was here for two nights and the bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. Overall, had a great stay! The young man who checked us out was excellent! Very friendly, sincere and exemplifies what superb customer service should be all about! You should clone him! Thanks, Marriott!

Friendly check-in staff. Room was great. Upgraded to a 2 bed suite with sofa and the bathroom was huge. Lots of space, including that separate living area with its own TV.

Close to the interstate. Standard Fairfield property. Nothing out of the ordinary. Clean, basic breakfast choices. There are a few restaurants across the street. |Recommend traveling down the street to Urban Grill for a very good dinner.
