Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Charlotte University Research Park

Overall I loved this hotel, we just stayed here for one overnight stay and I was very happy with it. The room was clean and spacious while the hotel itself was quiet and modern. The breakfast was great as it ran a little later compared to other hotels and there as a good amount of options to pick from for food. Also this hotel has a later default check out time of noon which was very nice to have. This will definitely be a hotel I come back to in the future.

I’ve stayed in many hotels because I travel a lot, but this one by far is the cleanest I’ve been to. This one stood out for several reasons. Every room you step in including the elevators, the rooms, the hallways lobby, and bathroom smell consistently amazing. The bathroom smells the best and that is a major plus for me. All of the front desk, agents and housekeepers are amazing and very helpful and willing to help. Even the house man and maintenance men. They were all so pleasant. The AGM helped me and my three kids up to our room in the snow storm and was very respectful. Marina the front desk agent goes above and beyond to make sure your comfortable. I have stayed here several times and each time I’m very impressed! Gordon ALWAYS goes above and beyond to make sure that I enjoy my stay and always remembers me! I even told my husband how much I like staying because ALL of the staffs positive attitudes here. The hotel is clean and has a new up to date feel and the price is very reasonable. I love staying here when I am in Charlotte and huge shoutout to the young girl as well (college student) for helping me with my reservation modifications and the front desk women who ensured I had everything that I needed the next morning. We decided to stay an extra night because we loved it so much. 10/10 for me!! Thanks guys!

I recently stayed at this hotel from January 18, 2026 to January 19, 2026. The breakfast service was poor! There were no large plates for the waffles. The The breakfast attendant stated that she placed the order for supplies but the manager failed to submit the order. They were out of syrup for the waffles and the pancakes. Why question is, "Why serve these items if you're out of the item that makes waffles and pancakes so delicious?" Customers had to eat y their food from a cereal bowl or a small dessert plate. The breakfast sausage tasted like rubber. The location of the hotel is in close proximity of all your needs. The hotel itself smelt amazing upon entrance. But once on the elevator and upon existing the elevator on the second floor, there was a strong smell of marijuana in the hall
