Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Abingdon

So let's start with with good. The hotel was clean and quiet. ||Now for the bad. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable. I could have slept on the floor and had the same level of comfort. What really bothers me is they have the audacity to charge $7 for parking. This isn't about the money, it's the principle behind it. We aren't in (or even near)a major city, there is no valet, or even a parking garage. This is just a quick money grab for you to use the hotel parking lot. It feels like the absurd tipping culture going on. It's pure profit for the hotel. I would rather pay $7 more for my room, but charging me for parking feels like a slap in the face.

Courteous, caring staff. Accessible shower is very good. Breakfast bar is decent. Overall I like the place alot.

I paid $185.56 for a 2 queen bed room for one night. They have a $7 daily parking charge that is a hidden money maker for them. Rooms are nice and it was quiet.

My room was very clean. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. I just felt comfortable being here. Thank you to the polite and helpful staff.

My brother and I were passing through on our way back to Nashville. The hotel is conveniently located right off of the interstate. The woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. We asked about the Mexican restaurant across the street (very walkable if needed) and she highly recommended it; it was amazing! The hotel is probably only a few years old; very clean and modern lobby and rooms. The room was enormous, and we didn't even have a suite! The fitness facility was perfect. A few treadmills and ellipticals, tons of free weights, and area to lift and another area to do your own HIIT or other workout. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly as well.
