Callebs Cove Camp Ground

This was our second trip to Callebs Cove Campground. On the first trip we were met by Heather and shown where our rental camper had been set up for us and helped us move things in. The first trip was early spring so the trees were bare and not many of the regular families who keep their campers there were around but the few we met and spent time with around the campe fire were wonderful people. The 2 little ones we had with us loved being able to run around and play at the playground with the couple other children who were there.||||This trip out was an amazmenet... the lake was full, the trees all green, trimmed grass and plants all around. Yes, there are permanent campers there with decks built by them, but they are all clean and well maintained. The open area was fresh cut grass invitin

One of the most friendliest, cleanest, awesome camping spots I have ever been to! The owners are super nice, always there to help if they can, its, quiet, and clean. Stayed there during Nascar race and other times. Have recommended it to many friends

I always love the mountains and it's typically because of the people I encounter. The owners of Callebs Cove are no different! Super friendly and very well kept camping! This will be my go to spot!

The good:||||*Easy to call & reserve, host provided us with the gate code to be able to check in||*Camp host very nice, personable, & outgoing – offered extra extension cords, water hoses, and/or sewer lines if we needed them; walked us the open sites & let us choose which one we would like for the weekend||*Sites were grassy w/gravel and mostly level||*When questioned about check-out times, host told us that no one had reserved the site after us, so there wasn’t a firm check-out time||*Location was very pretty, We were there after the water levels had been dropped for the winter, but I’m sure that in the spring/summer the would be beautiful||*Close to public boat launch & VA Creeper Trail||||The not so good:||||**Location was down a very windy, gravel road. No advance warning about hills,
