Extended Stay America Suites- Washington D.C. - Chantilly - Dulles

I would never go to this place again. Floors were dirty. Stove was dirty tub was dirty. There was an old pillow stuffed behind the bed and when I tried to move it, it was full of dirt. You will get two towels two washcloths and one small bar of soap along with your dirty room. What is not included is a bathmat, dishes, pots, glasses, floor, mats bath, mat, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, you get absolutely nothing. Everything is an extra charge, and on top of that the whole outer facility is full of dog poop people are staying there long-term and not picking up there’s garbage along the grounds. This hotel is the definition of Insanity and the prime example of the loss of customer service and compassion. I am traveling with my two small dogs and my vehicle had mechanical issues. It was night time and driving a vehicle that is having mechanical issues my father called around to find a hotel near me that accepted pets. He came across The extended stay in ChantillY VA located on thunderbolt dr. He specifically told them he was booking the location because they accepted pets and paid need miscellaneous charges a non refundable pet fee we were completely fine with. This was all done via telephone and with a credit card. Checking in I was told I had to pay an additional $50 deposit and it had to be cash only as I’m staring at a sign that specifies they DO NOT ACCEPT CASH so I wasn’t get

I typically wouldn't leave a review but I have never experienced this type of situation. I booked a suite weeks ago and was told a few days later by the manager that a previous guest destroyed the suite I would be in and they would have to downgrade me to a smaller room. I understood and was flexible. Today, someone named "Anna" at the front desk called me and stated that I had to pay her a $100.00 cash deposit. It is not stated anywhere in my confirmation that there is a $100.00 deposit, let alone cash. "Anna" then cussed me out because I refused to tell her that I would give her $100.00 cash and cancelled my room. THIS IS THE DAY I AM SCHEDULED TO CHECK IN...WITHIN AN HOUR AND A HALF. I SHOULD HAVE NOTED THE 2 STAR REVIEW. THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT. THIS COMPLETELY

I would not recommend this hotel for any tourists, I don’t think it gives a good impression of the area. I arrived after dark, and even with google maps directions this was hard to find, it is behind a row of restaurants off a busy 4 lane road, and seems to be in a mixed use office park area with several other branded properties. Check in took a while because there was another customer who had been oversold by a 3rd party and she took it out on the desk agent even though he did nothing wrong. She was recording on her phone while threatening a bad review and the whole bit. The parking lot is very tight with dead-ends so you can’t drive around the buildings, only 1 way in and out. There were people hanging out in small groups in the parking lot socializing, not super loud but not silent eit

Positive: The location Negative: I experienced impolite and rude front desk representatives who lacked the understanding of guest services. I experienced unprovoked harrassment from those representatives. They went as far as trying again and again to over charge me for my stay.
