Extended Stay America Suites- Lexington - Nicholasville Road

It is a 5 star hotel, because the price and cleanliness is everything. My husband and I came to Lexington to enjoy Red Mile Harness racing on Sunday. We checked in around 4pm on Saturday to a clean room with soft bath towels and clean sheets. I brought food for dinner from home and discovered there were no dishes but all I had to do is go to the desk and they gave me a really nice skillet, pan and spatula. Had a great dinner then settled in for a great nights sleep. The beds were very comfortable by the way. In the morning we grabbed a few muffins to go with our breakfast and just hung out until our noon late check out. Everyone was very friendly so the entire experience was wonderful. I have stayed in hotels from this price to $400 a night so I consider this a 5 star experience

I stayed at the Extended Stay America in Lexington, KY for about two months and had a genuine pleasant experience. My accommodations were cozy, and the room was generally clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. I purchased a room through Agoda at Extended Stay American Suites- Lexington for 11/27-11/28 while visiting a loved one at the nearby cancer center. Check in was quick and the front desk clerk was friendly and the kitchenette with full fridge was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the room itself was in poor condition. The microwave was dirty, dirt and dead bugs were swept into the corners, the bedding was stained, the room was noticeably worn down, and there was a hair on the toilet. I was willing to overlook some of this because of the pricing-but the bigger issues made the stay impossible. It was 31 degrees outside and the heater only blew cold air. Positive: "" Negative: Under construction... Noisy. Too close to highway. Maid came in room at 8am to do cleaning... did not even knock, then started cleaning knowing we were still in the room. No ice machine at facility. Ice trays were empty, had to e to make our own ice.

This place is a dump! The exterior looks okay from a distance but as you get closer it is badly worn down and there are several people just hanging around outside smoking (right next to the no smoking sign). The room is small and the musky, cigarette smoke odor hit you as soon as you walk in the door. The dresser, which I uploaded a few photos, is completely scratched around all edges and a large area of the top is missing. It is clear that people live here permanently (not just extended stay, AKA traveling for business, etc). This hotel does not deserve the 2.4 star rating that it has.
