Extended Stay America Select Suites- Springfield - South - Battlefield

While I acknowledge it’s a cheep hotel and understand that it will not be luxurious, I did expect it to be clean. The entire entryway and hallway smelled like a nursing home. It smelled of soiled linens and body odor. Once in the room we were hit with filthy floors that looked like they had not been clean in months. I have a video of me wiping them with one of the wash clothes to show the amount of filth but I’m unable to upload a video. The shower rod was rusted and nasty looking. It looked like they had not cleaned around the base of the toilet in awhile. There was no shampoo, body wash or conditioner, just a single bar of soap for the body on the tub, there was no hand soap on the sink. One bed had blood stains on the quilt. Rooms don't have fully equipped kitchens so make sure you bring what you need to cook with and eat with, there is no oven as well, never seen a free breakfast as advertised nietherYou don't get clean bedding or towels but every 2wks unless you pay extra for them. Which I think is gross! You're better off going to laundry mat to wash and dry your laundry because on site guest laundry cost to use anyways and I was informed the heavier items don't always get fully dried. As far as the employees Kristen, Amanda and Eden personally, they are amazing. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and making my stay a little easier.

Positive: Staff Negative: Filthy. Sheets were dirty, bath had hair in it. After complaining we were taken to 8 rooms before we found one that appeared clean. Pulled back sheets in that room and had black hair in it. We slept on top of sheets and left early next morning.

This is just the all around best hotel I have ever been to in this town. The staff, well, only 2 names come to mind. Miss Kiersten and Mr. Troy. These 2 folks are the kindest and have worked with me and Miss Kiersten is there to please the guest. I have not met a housekeeper yet that has been as helpful in the office, in the rooms or anywhere on the property. She will go above and beyond for her guest. Mr. Troy, is in the office during the morning till the afternoon. He has helped me with keys and payments I've made. They are friendly, polite, and a pleasure to talk with. I'd like to thank the 2 of them for their services and help.

Eden is the most beautiful, smart, outstanding hard working women that goes great lengths and beyond to make sure you get the best help possible. She make you feel at home and welcome to be there and to be part of the facility. We need more workers like her on your team. Thanks for home welcoming stay. I give this place a 10/10 on reviews. The extended stay America on West Kingsley Street Kansas expressway is the best spot to be.
