Extended Stay America Select Suites- Charlotte - Northlake

One night stay for a show. Front desk was friendly. Check-in was smooth. The room is basic. The bed was fairly comfortable. There were some minor room issues. There was no lightbulb in the lamp. The bathroom light would cut on and off on its own. Literally for long periods in complete darkness before turning back on. The hotel itself was, in appearance, fairly well kept. No curtains for the window was a little bothersome as it lit the room up very early in the morning. There were 3 of us, but only 2 bath towels. When we got to our room after the show the front desk was closed so couldn’t even ask for extra towels. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Positive: The gentleman that checked us in was very nice and helpful. Negative: The AC in the room barely worked, it was very warm inthe room and We checked the filter on the AC, it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while! We were supposed to have breakfast, but didn't find out till we arrived that this was no longer a option

If you’re online, looking to stay here at this location it is not what it seems online. hallways are dirty filthy smell like smoke. After staying here for two months when I first came in , I was advised to stay up on the fourth floor because of the noise by another resident that lives here with her family, so I asked for a room on the fourth floor. It smelled like weed and smoke in my room regularly. My car got towed twice paying over $1000 due to the towing company that they use, which are very unprofessional costing individuals lots of money here at this location .there are families going through tough times of hardship. I am a single woman trying to get into the building safe at night with all the activities going on outside , I forgot to put my pass in my window getting in late at ni

I don’t know where the bad reviews come from, I’ve been here more than 2 weeks. The hotel is clean. I don’t smell smoke. Everybody that works here especially Justus and the Manager, Ms. Joanna, are very nice. Never had a problem with getting clean rags or tissue. I didn’t ask for pots and pan because I bring my own. For comments that stated there people living here like it’s an apartment. It’s an extended stay hotel we’re you can do daily, weekly , monthly. It literally states on the website what’s it’s for. Don’t have a problem with neighbors. It’s quiet. Nobody hanging out. My room was clean. And updated. Me and my kids are enjoying our stay until I can relocate. Thank you to Justus, the manger and the other staff for giving me and my kids a clean and safe environment

i booked this room online and reviewed the pictures and area and thought it was a great place (i live near the northlake area) upon arrival i see that the whole entire first floor is going through a renovation with people working right infront of the desk to check in at. we waited around 30 minutes for our parking pass with other customers visibly upset while also claiming that they’ve been waiting for 45 minutes. honestly that’s just the half we proceed to go upstairs to our room with the hallways smelling of cigarette smoke just to realize the room looked NOTHING like the pictures online. the bed could realistically only fit one person, there was a hole in bathroom door, there was also i drawer missing from the cabinet. we went back downstairs to try and change our room but once again th
