Extended Stay America Premier Suites- Portland - North

The hotel itself is very nice inside and kept very clean INSIDE. It’s unbelievable that they’d put such a nice hotel in the dead center of the biggest homeless encampment I’ve ever seen, just walking out (or in) the hotel you are sure to find orange needle caps, broken crack pipes in the “pet area” I won't let my dogs paws touch the ground there. And the Chevron next door! Holy Geeezus 🤦‍♀️ security bars cover the building, doors and everything, You can’t go in without being asked for money or to buy drugs… The hotel and everyone in it is so respectful, the hotel is so nice…. They just need to do something about the homeless and drug paraphernalia littered outside. I even think it’s very sweet that they let some of them in to have hot coffee when it’s cold outside, like maybe 2-3 most and

The staff here are so welcoming and polite. Always willing to help with a smile. I love the staff and the nice clean quiet room plus food being steps away just make one more reason why this is my home when I'm traveling for work

I was not looking forward to checking in to another hotel, my girls and I were tired and I dreaded being confined to a small space. Luckily, the suite at this extended-stay was beyond my expectations! The room was large enough for the girls to stretch out and play, and the kitchen had plenty of space for my toddler to follow me around while I finished dinner. There was generous storage, a roomy work area, and it was a breeze to log in to our streaming subscriptions on the TV.||A huge thank-you to Aalaya, the concierge who checked us in. She was amazingly accommodating and patient with all of our check-in chaos. We felt welcomed from the very first moment!

There were cops every single day because they allow the homeless to camp around and do their drugs. There is a handicap spot up front that employees allow people to illegally park in and in the lined space next to it. They themselves also park in the spot next to it that is not a spot. They never had the pots and pans ready and washed to be able to grab. An older blonde lady at night who clearly was not happy to have a job lied and told us she would wash them real quickly and call our room to pick them up. Never got a call and we went to bed without dinner due to this inconvenience.

Positive: Kitchen Negative: My room sink was leaking. Also my tub was clogged. They refuse to give us enough towels to accommodate our day we couldn’t get extra tissue. Also the breakfast is horrible. My TV is not working properly. Bangs on your door at 11 like the police.
