Extended Stay America Premier Suites- Fredericksburg

The hotel was nice, the beds were comfortable, the kitchenette was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However we did have some issues that would make us think twice about staying here again. The elevator broke right when we were checking in. We had 4 people and a lot of bags, which we had to carry up the stairs. Kudos to the desk agents Richard and Matthew who helped carry them up. Both nights we tried to take a shower after midnight and there was no cold water. Even with the faucet set to cold, only hot water came out of both sinks and the shower. That was very weird since the cold water worked fine during the daytime. Also it kept getting up to 79 degrees on the room in February even without the heat on. The biggest issue for me was the shower — there was almost no water pressure at all, making it extremely frustrating and uncomfortable to use. For a hotel that labels itself as a “Premier Suite,” that’s simply unacceptable. A proper shower is one of the most basic expectations for any guest, and this location completely failed in that regard. The cleanliness of the room was also below average. I had a very negative experience at the Extended Stay America in Fredericksburg, VA on December 5 around 12:15 a.m.||My sister was staying here with me in a different booked room and was suddenly told she had to leave because she was on a Do Not Rent list. She was never informed of this status beforehand, and no one could explain why she had been placed on it.||When she calmly asked the front desk employee for clarification , she responded with “I’m no longer talking to you, bye,” and walked into the back room. Later, when I addressed her again and stated she did not need to be rude, she responded with “I don’t care” and “ girl bye “ and continued speaking in a disrespectful manner.||This interaction was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate for a front desk employee. This hotel will wrongfully accuse you of smoking and then take your deposit. I stayed here last weekend for one night. They charged a ridiculously high deposit of $250 which we paid with no problem. This is a non-smoking hotel so we did not smoke in the rooms. We rolled up in the rooms but we smoked in our vehicle. upon checkout, The clerk reassured that we would get our deposit back that day. we never smoked in the room one time there were no ash no smoke no evidence at all of any smoke when we called to have this issue sorted out the woman was very nasty and rude.
