EVEN Hotel Rockville - Washington DC Area by IHG

We are currently only on day 2 of our stay, and unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing so far. I’m writing this in hopes that management takes these concerns seriously and works toward a resolution. When we first entered our room, there were black marks on the duvet. Housekeeping sent a replacement, but we had to put it on ourselves. While fixing the bed, we then discovered fishnet stockings in the sheets, which was very concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. We bagged them and brought them to the front desk. The TV in the room was also broken and required a maintenance visit. Stayed 5 nights in this clean budget friendly hotel 3 months ago & was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Spacious room came with exercise equipments, a nice touch. The on-site gym was acceptable for a quick workout. Weekdays were quiet and peaceful, however, the weekend got a bit noisy-something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper. Great location with metro station, places to eat, supermarket and shopping are all within walking distance. But highlight of my stay? A 10 minute walk to Duck Donuts for fresh, warm donuts--totally worth it! If you're looking for a simple, affordable place with a few perks and a great location, this hotel fits the bill.

My experience at IHG Hotels & Resorts was excellent from the very beginning. The check-in process was quick, and the staff was very friendly and professional, always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, which made my stay very pleasant. The common areas were modern and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day. In addition, the hotel’s location made it easy to access restaurants and important places in the city. Overall, IHG provided high-quality service that exceeded my expectations and made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

Positive: Clean. Nice gym and also some workout Equipment in room which was kind of cool. Negative: Parking is okay but $20 per day; no breakfast; and sliding barn doors on bathrooms seems to be the new thing, but frankly a real door or latch would be preferable

I don't know if it's incompetence or unethical practices, but this hotel has been made aware that their heating/ air conditioner units are unusually NOISY (random clicking noises). And yet despite this, they place hotel guests like my family in units that do not lead to a restful stay. I read back over the reviews and found others like me complaining about the same thing. This is unacceptable for IHG brand of which I am a member. Our hotel room was approximately $160 in which you would expect basic amenities to be functional. And yet I've stayed in nicer motels than this. The only redeeming quality is the location, but do yourself a favor and stay at a competitor hotel. And yes, I switched rooms, but that shouldn't be on me to make sure my room is inhabitable. Given it's 30 degrees o
