Element Austin at The Domain

Our Centennial Family Reunion was this past weekend here at the Element Austin at The Domain. We drove in and the hotel was easy to find and more than adequate parking. Upon checking in, the Assistant Manager Alex Gamez and Allison welcomed us like they were expecting family and that attitude continued through our stay. We were checked in quickly and Alex seeing that my husband was having difficulty manipulating the full cart, he took it to our room and unloaded the cart for him. Prior to going up, the General Manager came up and we visited and immediately connected. She welcomed us, mentioned that she is so happy to house our family members. She said she saw the program and said we would have an excellent weekend and we did. The facility was very clean, open, aired with lots of light.

My hotel room was great. It was very clean. We had a great time. The only problem I had is the parking I got charged twice. They did say they were gonna remove one of the payments, but I have yet to have it removed, but besides a parking, everything was great

Element Hotel - The Domain (Austin) I stopped by here for a quick meeting with customers. While I was meeting with my clients I was able to look around and admire how clean and modern the lobby was. Staff were friendly and helpful. Front entrance is a bit small offering Valet. Nearby places include large IBM & PayPal office buildings. Q2 Stadium is only a traffic light away, along with Starbucks and other options.

I booked a 4-night stay through Booking.com. On the first night, I personally reported to the front desk that the bathroom sink in my room was draining extremely slowly and requested maintenance. I was told it would be handled the next day, but no repair was carried out. When I returned to the room the following day, there was no sign of any inspection or repair, and the sink continued to drain very slowly. Due to jet lag and a very tight work schedule, I did not have the energy to repeatedly complain. At around 5:10 a.m. on the fourth morning, I was awakened by loud, forceful knocking. I discovered that the bathroom had flooded and about one-third of the room’s carpet was soaked. We checked into the hotel at 4 a.m last Thursday and went through a very difficult driving process for hours. The first thing we got after arriving at the hotel was not a greeting, but you needed to wait 5-10 minutes. Before confirming the room, because we didn't want to disturb each other, we wanted to have 2 beds. As a result, we were told that there were only double rooms in the hotel on Thursday night on the 5th floor. We don't have the strength to argue, so we can only accept it. After entering the room, first there was an uncomfortable mattress, a smaller room, and then the roar of the air conditioning system that made you unable to sleep.
