Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Brookings

It is a good, economy hotel with many wonderful features! The property is very tired and it is obvious that work is being done. A little patience with the property managers through this will go a long way. Our room was wonderful. The pool area needs a large amount of updating, but our kids still had a blast. We rented the family suite and loved it. Our only complaint is door to outside in the living room of the suite. The door and frame are rusted out on the bottom and has a draft. We woke to some snow in the room. As I said before, patience with the property managers as it takes time and a lot of money to make improvements. We were very comfortable and there were Zero inconveniences. The Brookings Econolodge provided a great value for the price.

The hotel is an older, tired property currently undergoing renovations. This takes time and money. A little patience goes a long way. Staff was amazing. Breakfast was good, restaurant was good, room was recently renovated and comfortable. Pool is in need of renovations, but that takes time and a lot of money. Comfortable stay and good amenities. Enjoyed our stay!

We did an overnighter at this property while traveling east. It’s conveniently located to main roads, restaurants and stores. The pool is very nice, as is the breakfast area and offerings. We ate a good dinner at the attached End Zone sports pub. We also appreciated receiving a veteran discount. However, in our room one of the two beds appeared not to have been made up with fresh linens. A lamp shade was bent and had holes in it, and there was debris on the floor in several places. Our TV was not working, so Nate immediately came to our room to assist. He was unsuccessful, so he offered to move us to the adjacent room. We accepted and moved our gear. The hotel just had an overall unsafe feel to it. Our room windows were rusty and the heating unit looked like it could fall out of the wall. The room felt like it was 80 degrees even though the unit said 65. The pool looked like mold was growing in it. The hallways smelled funny. There were food containers in the hallway and empty beer cartons in the parking lot. We were told to park by door three, but it was not shoveled or salted by door three. Just not a great experience…we won’t be back.

Most affordable motel in Brookings and it has a pool. Some areas could use some much needed repairs, but I stay here nearly every week and for the price, you really can't go wrong. Plus, you get a decent breakfast every day.
