Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Brookings, SD

Wonderful staff and room!!! My family of 5 had been traveling from TX to ND, coming off an emotionally heavy two weeks after the early passing of my father. We had planned to travel further north until we were met with freezing rain and snow. We pulled off in Brookings and had a hard time finding vacancy online. We were all tired, hungry, and cranky. My wife randomly decided to walk into this Country Inn and Suites to see what, if anything, was available... We were met with the most hospitable, professional, and caring front desk attendant ever! (Jonathan Atwood) He went out of his way to find a room that fit for my family and for an affordable, last minute, bereavement price. It was clear he had a passion for people and his hospitality was more appreciated than he will ever know. People

The guy working the front desk during check in when we got there was super pleasant and nice to deal with. The lady working the front desk in the morning was just as great to deal with. We got there late and left early so didn’t have a chance to do much of anything else.

The service was exceptional, my wife and I got snowed in and the guy in the suit found us a room that we could check in early, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. Other than a drunk construction worker thinking his food was delivered to our room late at night, this was a very pleasant stay the hot tub was nice and the pool was heated, slept in so couldn't partake in the breakfast. All in all definitely would stay here again.

I spent a restful night with my family. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was exceptional with several choices. A good clean pool/spa area with just the right temperature. The front desk person was in professional dress and very friendly. We will stay again.

I went to Brookings, SD for one night on business. My flight from Dallas was delayed by more than two hours, so I arrived at this hotel around 2:00 AM (3/5/2026), and my ordeal began. The person on the night shift was incredibly rude. He had terrible technical skills or training (it took them 15 minutes or more to log in). The system kept rejecting company and my credit card (which I had used two hours earlier), and when I asked for options, the only response I got was, "I'm not going to give you a free room call your company (at 2am)." Avoid going to this hotel at night because the person at the front desk is incredibly rude and incompetent at addressing a customer's needs.
