East Side Suites

To all those that have rated this place 4.5 stars, you must not travel much. For me, I rate all hotels/motels on a common worldwide scale, a 1 is someplace I’d leave, even if I lost money, a 5 would be the most exquisite place I’d ever seen. That out of the way, my review below. ||Outside, this Place immediately makes you consider turning around. And it’s actual location is off a 4 lane highway, and seems rather out of the way. Luckily, it’s well lit at night and relatively quite. Outside though needs a good paint job, peeling all over the place. ||Once inside, things are generally better, average I’d say. Stopped at this hotel because of the good review. Getting to the hotel requires going past it and taking the next exit, then turning back to enter the highway in the other directions because there is only access from one side of the highway. The smell in the room was awful. The couch was in terrible shape. The staff was extremely nice. I would not recommend this hotel right now. They were remodeling rooms and have new couches stacked in a carport/outdoor sitting area ready to put in the rooms. This hotel may improve by next year.

My family and I moved to Lynchburg at the beginning of this year and have been staying in this hotel since May 2023. The staff are amazing and very friendly and will help whenever and wherever they can. The rooms are set up like little apartments with a kitchen, two TV's, free wifi, Xfinity cable. Great room service! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to lay their heads and have a peace of mind. The location is in a nice quiet country setting right out side of town. Very pet friendly and family based environment. For long term stays you only have to pay the pet deposit once! I only have words of praise for this hotel for a 13 week stay while working at Lynchburg General Hospital. The location is perfect--5 miles or 10 minutes drive to work. On Rte 460, 3 miles from Liberty University, 2 hours to Richmond, 1 hour from Staunton. The managers Ms. Geri and Mr. Jan are VERY hospitable, very professional, very proactive in providing the best possible stay. The suite is spacious, the furniture is comfortable, the onsite laundry room is very clean and always in good working condition. The grounds are safe, clean quiet and spacious. Weekly room cleaning and fresh laundry are a very nice service. I highly recommend staying at Eastside Suites.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned how loud it is here. If you're a light sleeper or have trouble concentrating don't do it. The bedroom windows face a very busy highway with loud vehicles zooming down all day and night. Hopefully a fan helps, I'm going to pick one up today. You would think being right on the highway would make it easy to find and convenient to get places but it's really kind of in the middle of nowhere. If you pass the small road going there you have to loop around at least 5 miles to get back, enough that you're really careful and driving like a snail to make sure you don't make that mistake again. Grocery stores and resteraunts are also around 5 miles away. I know that isn't too far but with it sounding like your bedroom is in the middle of the expressway you'd think it
