Downtown Value Inn

Honestly, for the price, was expecting a stay as terrifying as my stay in downtown Albuquerque. Something dirty, run down, blankets full of holes, swarming with insects etc. Also rampant and visible drug use, especially meth. None of that here. No! I honestly had no complaints about the stay, after my complimentary upgrade this was solidly the best hotel I stayed at during my road trip. The rooms were clean, the showers had a tub, the toilets flushed, there was running hot water, and the location was good. Small thing was my room was right on the MAX line, but that also made my life super convenient. Anywhere I wanted to go I could easily get to, the location was wonderful. After reading what sounded like some horror stories in the reviews regarding deposits etc, I can confirm I was able

Solid budget option in downtown with nice staff and fair prices. They don't price gouge like a lot of hotels in Portland. For this reason alone Downtown has my loyalty forever. Thanks for being awesome.

Budget friendly hotel in downtown Portland. Room was nice. Our hold on our debit card was released within an hour after check out. Would stay again. Staff was super nice.

Welcoming diamond in the rough :) The location was good. The area was quiet and I felt safe. There was a tram stop under the window, but it did not bother me. The window unit kept the room warm. Blankets were thin, but sufficient. The hotel was old and could have used updates, but it was clean. No breakfast. The staff was welcoming and helpful. There was a parking lot that was bit tricky to get in and out, but it existed, which is a plus in downtown .

Great staff! Parking lot was super convenient. Halls smelled of cigarette smoke but my room thankfully did not. Carpets could probably use a refresh, but overall good place to stay for 1-3 days
