DoubleTree by Hilton Pomona

I recently hosted a family event at this venue and was extremely disappointed with the experience. We spent thousands of dollars on what was supposed to be a buffet-style meal, with food portions planned per person. However, by the time the last two tables were served, two entrée options were already completely gone. When I asked a staff member about it, I was told that the chef simply hadn’t prepared enough food. That is unacceptable for a paid event, especially one of this scale and cost. Proper planning and execution are the responsibility of the venue, and running out of food is a major oversight. This level of quality and service is very disappointing. I had my High School 50 Year Reunion there October 11th, 2025. Everything was OUTSTANDING!! The staff and the food was AMAZING. Everyone was willing to work with the committee and accommodate us with whatever we needed. My classmates are still talking about how much fun they had. Patricia Rodriguez, who is the Sales and Catering Coordinator was awesome. whenever I needed something or had an issue with the room block, she was right there to make it right. On the night of the reunion, Michael Chen, the banquet captain, was there setting up the tables, folding the napkins to my liking, and getting food out to be served at our appointed time. Positive: The room was very nice and clean. The restaurant was good as well Negative: No a/c in the lobby or through out the hotel corridor. The elevator was unbearable to use, freaking steam boxes, so used the stair way to access the 3rd floor each time to go and from our room. The stair way also didn't have any a/c

The rooms were comfortable but overpriced for what they are. Breakfast was horrible! It looked old and reused! One day the scrambled eggs had turned green in some spots!!! I showed it to the waitress and they made new batch but served it in the same dish! The other half of the dish remained with the old eggs as it was. The bread was all dried out every single day. I asked for some slice bread and the answer was we don’t have any bread! What kitchen doesn’t have bread? The milk container had few drops in it and the only choice for a hot drink was coffee. No tea. I mentioned our breakfast experience to the front desk and the response was they are separate from the hotel!!

Positive points: Great location with a beautiful mountain view. Negative points: No complimentary breakfast and no on-site laundry facilities. I stayed here for 8 days and had to take my clothes to a public laundromat, which was inconvenient.
