DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas Near the Galleria

After spending five days at this hotel, I can honestly say this will be the last time I stay here. For what they charge, the service leaves a lot to be desired. There are cheaper hotels in the same area where the staff is friendlier, the service is better, and the overall experience feels much more professional. The hotel already looks old and clearly needs renovation, but that was not even the worst part. The worst part was the customer service. From the moment you arrive at the lobby, the experience does not feel welcoming. There is a lack of kindness, empathy, and willingness to help. Delois helped me check in and was super friendly and helpful. I had a big problem with my reservation and he made it all work great. I couldn’t be happier with the service at the front and the quality of my room.

I think this hotel has potential. You can tell it’s an older hotel that has been remodeled several times, and overall it’s okay, but for me the most important issue was not that — it was the front desk service. Honestly, the staff did not feel very warm or empathetic. During check-in, there wasn’t that friendliness, smile, or courtesy that you normally expect when arriving at a hotel. I’ve stayed in other places where, from the moment you walk in, they greet you kindly, smile, and make you feel welcome. I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience during checkout with an employee named Allen. As many guests know, DoubleTree is well known for their signature warm cookies, which is something my children were looking forward to. Upon checkout, I politely asked Allen if the kids could have a cookie. He gave us two cookies but appeared visibly irritated that we even asked. After receiving the two cookies, I mentioned that there were more than two children present which he could clearly see. Instead of simply explaining that he did not have any more available, he responded with an attitude, saying, “Well they are just going to have to share because I don’t have anymore.” The issue was not the number of cookies. If there were only two available, a p
