DoubleTree by Hilton Gainesville

Great room. Excellent value. One problem is that the design of the shower is such that you have to be under the shower when you turn on the water. That you get wet before the water warms up. Fortunately, the water warms up extremely quickly. The mattress and the pillows were extremely comfortable. The chocolate chip cookies that are included in the price of the room are delicious. The TV is very large.

We had the most wonderful trip to Gainesville because of the Doubletree by Hilton! The staff was incredibly kind to Our Family. It was our daughter’s birthday (and attend the UF homecoming game) and they gave us great recommendations, and even took the time to decorate a beautiful chalkboard scene to commemorate her special day.||The rooms were very clean and the location could not have been any better! We will return!

This was the host hotel for an event where probably 300 of us stayed. Sierra at the front desk during check-in was amazing. She was so attentive and helpful. All of us were arriving within the same 3 hours, and it was smooth and no problems. Parking was easy and plentiful. We loved the bar area to hang out and eat and drink, everyone was really attentive and kind and helpful. Our rooms were clean, bathrooms were well stocked. I like this hotel a lot and can see it being a regular for us for this event!!

Positive: There are a lot of different dinning options around the area. Negative: It's a little bit further away from campus but not too bad.

The hotel itself is very nice, but what really stood out was the service at the front desk. Sierra, the CSR who checked me in, was incredibly personable while handling multiple guests at the same time with impressive efficiency. She managed to keep the process moving smoothly without ever losing her friendly, welcoming demeanor. Excellent first impression and great customer service.
