Desmond Hotel Malvern, a DoubleTree by Hilton

We used the Desmond for our wedding hotel blocks after it was recommended to us. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience from a bride perspective, but as a guest, I have no complaints. We booked the suite, which was spacious and lovely. Honestly, the rooms, Fox & Hounds pub, and space overall was great. I'd recommend staying there as a guest. Working with them as a bride was a nightmare. There were multiple times guests reached out because rooms were not available in our block when we were promised them and I had to contact the Desmond multiple times to fix things.. not ideal when you are planning a wedding. When we called to add another night onto our own reserved room, it took about 15 minutes because the staff couldn't figure out how to add us onto our own block. A guest called on the

I’ve been coming to this hotel on Black Friday with my three children for the past five years. It’s sort of a personal celebration for myself. Five years ago I needed a safe haven for me and the kids. It was during Covid and I searched for a hotel with an open pool near me and this is what I found. I’m so glad that I did. And we have come back here every year since. While the kids don’t know what my personal celebration is, they are extremely excited for every year to come around so they can swim, watch TV in the super comfortable hotel beds and Saturday morning Get a delicious breakfast from the fork and knife. My son and his lovely bride held their wedding reception at the Desmond on Nov 15, 2025. Our family and friends have flooded my text messages with compliments on the food, the atmosphere and the service. Multiple people have commented on the individual service each table was provided. Plates were cleared, bread and water were regularly filled, and the food was served with precision. Everyone has been commenting on how delicious everything was! The entire evening was beautiful, and our guests noticed every detail. Thank you to the entire banquet staff for a wonderful evening!

Got a king bed room on the third floor. The 4 poster bed was beautiful and comfy. Bathroom was small, but had good counter space. No overhead lighting. The ball room and event space was very nice.

The Desmond Hotel has become one of my go-to spots. I’ve brought clients and friends here for lunch countless times since it’s right near my home office, and every visit is a great experience. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and the food never misses—it’s always fresh and delicious, with no long waits. A few years back, my sister had her wedding reception here, and it couldn’t have gone better. I stayed overnight and really enjoyed the room—comfortable, clean, and quiet. It’s such a convenient spot, and I always look forward to coming back.
