AVIA Residences on Lincoln - Furnished Extended Stays

This was by far the most disgusting hotel stay ever. We had two nights booked and we left within a few minutes of arriving. Dog hair was all over the sheets. All of the blankets were stained. There were no fitted sheets on the beds, let alone bed bug protectors. Bed bug stains were on the curtains. The unit was extremely dated. The units attached to ours were condemned and “not safe for human occupancy.” - yet we shared a wall. This was absolutely disgusting.

Positive: Location is convenient for our travel needs. Set up is great when traveling with children Negative: Not the cleanest and we had issues with the way the door locks.

I am always hesitant to write poor reviews and have managed to avoid doing so until now, but I have never experienced such shocking mistreatment and complete disregard for guest safety as I have with Avia Residences. I booked the stay through my corporate employee portal, and I had thoroughly researched the company and looked at policies on the site. They failed to communicate that their front desk closes at 8pm. When I arrived on-site with no internet signal, I found myself locked out of the building in the dark. They sent a email instruction an hour before closing when an email should have been sent at least 24 hours beforehand about unique check-in policies. When I visited this hotel in 2019 I had such a great experience. Staff was professional, welcoming and responsive. And the room was just fine: Spacious and clean.|Fast forward to several days ago, and I must say everything has gone downhill considerably. I sense the owners don't have or choose not to spend money on keeping the hotel fresh and well maintained. It is in desperate need of a makeover- railings have pealing paint, rooms, especially the bathrooms, are dingy. Also, although I was promised a quiet room, my neighbors chose to have a pot party on the evening I stayed. I felt as if they were occupying my room, the walls were so thin. Good sized rooms and full kitchens. I can put the kids in the other room after bedtime and have enough space to work or watch TV without waking them. I love the pool being right off the gym so after I work out I can jump in. Big fan of the contactless check in. Better prices than anyone in the area plus there's a Wegmans right across the street!
