Days Inn by Wyndham San Marcos

The water was not hot enough to take a shower, the plug by the bed didn't work, there was no table in the room so no place to eat.

Rooms need a little updating. My room smelled like smoke. The bed sheets had some stains on them. Room service shows up just one time and if you are not out of the room they won't come back at a later time.. so far 1-10 with 10 being excellent it's a 5.

I was in San Marcos for a graduation, so needed to be near the University and this hotel is exactly that. I had called earlier to confirm there was a hair dryer, they said there was, unfortunately it was from 1968 and did not work. I was offered another room, in the morning to dry my hair. Instead, I drove to walmart and bought a hairdryer. Service is just substandard. Room was clean, but linens and towels were horribly dingy.

Positive: The interior was pristine! Nicely decorated and modern, very clean. Negative: The exterior did not match the interior. The rundown and shoddy plastic lawn chairs by the pool were just gross. I put a chair under the door handle as I was not comfortable being there as a single female traveling alone.

Positive: The interior was immaculate and quite lovely Negative: The exterior was not appealing to the eye. Construction workers were sitting out on the stoop, drinking beer. I didn't realize this was a hotel frequented by people who sat on the stoop and drank beer. I propped a chair underneath the door handle.
