Days Inn by Wyndham Muncie -Ball State University

The location was great and the room was fine. There were a few cosmetic issues in the bathroom but wasn't expecting much for less than $100 a night. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner had it like a meat locker in my room. I like it cold. My only complaint was the breakfast was very lacking. Pretty much just toast, a waffle maker, yogurt, a couple opinions for cereal. Again not bad for less than $100 but was at least hoping for some fresh fruit like bananas or oranges.

Positive: Among the budget hotels, this is the best of the best. Super clean, no bad smell, which happens all the the time in the budget hotels. Should have 4-5 stars. You will never regret staying here. Negative: ""

I booked a stay here and paid in cash. The deposit was $100. I was placed in a room with a malfunctioning air conditioner(ROOM 211). It was squeaking extremely loud (100db). I requested a new room (ROOM 118) and was placed downstairs for the night. At 8am the owner/manager of this hotel knocked on my door on some kind of power trip and accused me of smoking in the room. I asked him how this was possible given the smoke detector by the bed. I also asked him why I would risk smoking in a hotel room and losing my cash deposit. This man rudely cut me off and told me I had lost my cash deposit and threatened to call the police on me. I went ahead and had him call the police and I remained in the lobby to speak with them. Outside the hotel they explained to me that this was a regular occurrence

The service SUCK!!!.. the girl at the front desk was VERY short with me. I walked in and said hello she never said anything back and she never looked at me not even once. I told her I had a reservation she gave me the total and once I paid. She gave me the key and walked off. She don’t tell me what time breakfast was (if any) she didn’t tell me where my room was. It was sooooo strange that she never looked up.

This is a basic hotel that I stayed at for one night. I am not sure I would consider a second night. There was an additional $100 hold on my credit card that was not disclosed during on-line reservation and the reservation could not be cancelled without penalty. Breakfast ran out of some food for at least 45 minutes. The hotel was cheaper than others in the neighborhood but I feel it may still be overpriced.
