Comfort Inn & Suites Muncie Near University

I stayed 2 night while in town for business. The hotel was clean, the front desk personnel were very friendly and the prices was reasonable. The 2nd floor smelled of cigarette smoke as soon as the elevator doors opened, the bed was comfortable but the pillows were tiny like throw pillows. I was kept up all night the first night by men standing outside smoking and talking so loud that I could hear them over the ac unit in my room and I was on the 2nd floor. Overall it was worth the price for a short stay but if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet place I would consider going elsewhere.

Arrived at 7:45 PM after a 4-hour drive with a confirmed reservation. The front desk was completely unattended. I waited 45 minutes in the lobby with no staff present and called the front desk six times—the phone rang unanswered every time. I contacted Choice Hotels corporate, and even they were unable to reach the on-site manager, Molly Haggard. After nearly an hour, I had no choice but to book another hotel. This is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a national brand. If you value your time, do not rely on this location.

Positive: Terrific location and fairly clean. Negative: I wasn't allowed to be in my room at a certain point of time due to the carpets being cleaned. It was during the time that I had the room reserved.

Night staff was clearly stoned. Entry way is dirty and smells like marijuana and cigarettes. When inside the odor of chlorine from the pool nearly knocks you out. Hallways and elevators are in need of a refresh like everything else in this hotel. Rooms are smelly, like old sweat socks, and very damp. Carpet is filthy and needs replaced. Cleaning staff speaks absolutely no English, very difficult to get items for your room.

The smell of old mop/ forgotten laundry in the dryer hits you in the face when you walk in. Front desk was **nice. She offered to take me to my room on the 3rd floor and it didn't have the overwhelming smell. I agreed to stay. Booked it. I went to load my stuff and kids in. I was parked near the back door and sent my 12 year old(she looks older) to grab a cart. I was watching her. She walked up to the door and a man was smoking. I didn't hear what he said but I saw my daughter tense up so I opened my door to hear him say, it's OK! Iwas just kidding, That's my truck right there. And he pointed at his white construction truck.
