Fairfield Inn Muncie

I wish I had read the reviews. I almost never leave reviews myself but I had to this time. This place is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. I travel constantly for work and stay at Marriott properties nationwide—this is by far the worst. I usually trust them as an affordable and consistent, tidy, quiet stay. Here - my room reeked of what seems like cat or animal urine, absolutley nauseating, it's dirty, wallaper was peeling in the bathroom, the toilet sounded like a dying lawn mower, and the chemicals in the air made my eyes burn. When I asked to switch rooms, I was told flatly, “no.” Nothing available. So much for customer service. ||Is this franchise-owned or something? Clearly whomever their corporate folks are haven't stayed the night or trained on hospitality. And my so-called “E

I will not stay here again. Terrible location, bad service and a run-down facility. When we first arrived, I almost hit two people who were wasted in the parking lot and had to walk through a haze of weed from a guy smoking right out front. I’m a Titanium global elite member and asked for a bottle of water when I came in. I was told that they were out and wouldn’t get more until it was delivered the next day. The next morning, when I went down for breakfast the fridge was full of water bottles. The guy must have been too lazy to get any for me. They were out syrup for the waffles (other than sugar free). First time I’ve ever written a review on google. This hotel was god awful. Rooms were noticeably dirty (stains on toilet seat and in toilet bowl, hair in sink, detritus on the floor in rooms.) Left the hotel to grab something from Walmart. Came back and my room key suddenly stopped working. Only good part was the receptionist who was helpful in getting me a new one

I couldn't be happier that I chose this inn. The room, bathroom, hallways, desk area, were spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the woman who was in charge of the dining area. The breakfast was nourishing, with eggs and bacon every day, plus fruit and cereal available in unlimited supply. The parking was convenient and ample. Seven restaurants were in walking distance from the inn, with a wide variety of choices. These people went out of their way to make me and all their clients feel welcome and comfortable. I will definitely return there when I visit Muncie in the future.

Peaceful stay. Came into town to spend Christmas with my sister just needed somewhere to stay overnight. No issues, front desk was friendly. Would stay again. Breakfast was good.
