Days Inn by Wyndham Geneva/Finger Lakes

Google and booking.com says this is a pet friendly hotel which when I arrive I find out it is not. So had to go to another hotel and spend double the price for them to mark me as a no-show, charge me for a room I couldn't use I contact booking they put in a request for refund the hotel doesn't respond two weeks go by then I decide to call hotel for the "manager" to hang up on me mid conversation, I call back they refuse to answer phone. I finally recovered my money a month later by going through my bank. Absolutely ridiculous! Don't waste your time!

We arrived Thursday to find the hallway full of fruit loops on the carpet and smashed into the carpet. By the time we left Monday, they still had not been swept or cleaned up and the hallway was filthy. Our shower and shower curtain were dirty and stained when we got there. Will not be staying here again, did not appreciate a dirty hotel.

We were lucky to stay in an at least partially renovated room. The resilient floors were a nice touch, but made the room an echo chamber and we could hear our neighbors next door and across the hall. The bedding needs improvement, but for a relatively inexpensive hotel, it sufficed.

Positive: Excellent value for the money. Comfortable, updated room (nothing fancy). Pleasant staff, nothing exceptional. Decent, average, free breakfast — not the best, not the worst. But the accommodations were well worth the price paid! Negative: Minor quibble: The breakfast was cleared and closed precisely at 9:30 am even if late-arriving guests were in the midst of serving themselves. A few minutes “grace” would’ve been more gracious. What was the big hurry all about?

We stayed for one night because we were invited to a wedding that was close. The shower didn’t drain at all so we were left standing in inches of dirty bath water. The A/C and heat in didn’t work in the room as the thermostat was totally blank. Location is pretty good but the sacrifices may not be worth it.
