Days Inn by Wyndham Gainesville University I-75

On 02.21.26, my husband and I spent the night in the Econo Lodge on N. Tibbs Rd., in Gainesville, GA. I am NOT writing this for any type of confirmation, but for travelers and management of the facility. I am posting this in multiple places. Start with problems on the outside of the building. The front door is very dirty, the premises have neglected landscape maintenance and building maintenance. We checked into Room 111 but couldn’t stay because the AC unit is very noisy; when we tried to call the front desk; by dialing 0 and dialing the outside number, multiple times, no one answered. The AC had to be reported by other occupants and neglected by management. Do yourself a favor and keep driving. We were disgusted when we arrived at our room after driving for 18 hours. We were on our way for a Cruise out of Cape Canaveral and wanted to stop for a few hours to sleep and shower after a long drive from Ontario, Cad. Days Inn are reputable in our area, so while driving we found this one and figured it would do for a few hours' sleep and a shower to freshen up before starting our week vacation. The room smelt like a closed up old smoke shaft, moldy and stuffy. The carpets were disgusting and dirty, the bathroom was dirty and had mold all over the shower. The walls and door were filthy. We didn't stay long enough to notice what else might stand out. Thankfully the guest attendant on the front counter understood our frustration, and agreed to refund t

Positive: Close to attractions Negative: I prefer the soap and hair products suctioned cupped to the bathroom shower for convenience and less mess.

The pictures look nice. What the pictures don't show is a toilet that won't stop running. Paper-thin walls. The bed it self was very comfortable. That said with my "neighbors " partying hard until two am it was impossible to sleep. I heard at around midnight "If you want us out of here you'll have to give our money back. They continued to party. I should know better. You get what you pay for. ... I have one more night here so we'll see how that goes.

The walls are very thin, I could hear my neighbors, anyone walking outside and anyone above.. however, the room was large, clean, and the lobby had breakfast. I enjoyed it being so close to everything in town, and I enjoyed how pretty the scenery around was. My fridge did not work, my bathtub had no stopper, but none of these were deal breakers. The doors has multiple locks, the pillows plenty and fluffy. I stayed a week, and I wouldn't mind staying again if I needed to. Friendly staff, good breakfast.
