Days Inn by Wyndham Chincoteague Island

This place has a cozy feel, although I was very disappointed that it promised a free breakfast and only provided slices of bread, some apples, and two almost empty cereal bins. Wow. “And the juice tasted really stale, like it had either not been changed in a long time or the machine had not been cleaned in a long time.” That feedback is from my partner who is a restaurant manager and knows his stuff. I said something out loud while near who I assume was the manager, and he didn’t chime in with any response. The female, who was at the counter sometimes, was super friendly and gave good restaurant recommendations! Positive: Price and location. Negative: The mildew was throughout the hotel worse in the rooms. I was shown 3 rooms because the first had so much air freshener in it to cover up the mildew smell it gave me an instant headache.

Great location close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, breakfast was good but not a huge selection but there is a McDonalds 100 yards from there if needed. The front desk person was extremely nice and helpful and complied with us for an early check in, and help with picking a restaurant and offered to pick us up if we went out for drink on the island. Would definitely stay here again.

it was cool when I stayed back in november. No bugs, it was quiet, got friendly service at the desk when checking in and out. Maybe it was because of the temperature but the place was nearly empty, there were like 3 or 4 cars there including mine. I'd come back when I'm back in this area. Bonus points for the cute deer in the parking lot that *almost* let me pet her when I stopped my car on my way to a parking spot, lol. I love nature but if you don't then the occasional presence of deer in that proximity could be an issue. My room was mostly clean minus rust stains on lamp shades and in other random spots in the room, but this place is close to water so that's not even deep.

The hotel for the price was pretty good. Staff was always very friendly. Location was great, near lots of shops and near the beach entrance. Rooms could have renovated a little more. Textured ceiling looks like it was starting to get repaired but never fully finished and the floors could be cleaner. Most the carpeting throughout the hotel needs a good cleaning or replaced. Having the breakfast in the morning was a nice touch. I could your more variety, otherwise was nice. Overall I wouldn't mind coming back again.
