Days Inn by Wyndham Ashland

The room was absolutely horrible. First, the deadbolt on the door didn't lock, so safety concern right there. Second, when I went to use the bathroom and lifted the toilet lid, there was a cockroach on the seat. Not only that but the toilet didn't flush. We killed it and decided to look around the room for more bugs. Under the air conditioner/ heater, there was black mold and baby roaches. We immediately left and had to look for a different hotel to stay at. Do not stay here!!! It may be passable as an absolute last resort but I personally would rather sleep in my car then to stay in that motel. There are so many other hotel options in this particular area so do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

We stayed at this location several times in the past and was it was fine. We went 4 times a year on our trips to Florida. Last night was a disappointment. We took the same room as always but refrigerator was filthy with melted ice cream from a prior guest. I guess house keeping doesn't clean everything. The staff who was very nice gave us a different room. This room clearly wasn't cleaned at all.covered thick with dust. AC was filthy which I cleaned. We were exhausted and stayed. We woke during the night and there was bugs crawling everywhere. A plug near the sink was shorting out. Bathroom light was not working well. Ceiling was brown stained from a leak and the flooring was loose. Probably had a flood. The room needs a complete overhaul. The ice machine downstairs was unplugged. My

Front staff very friendly. Room was clean. Beds are comfortable. Good location for restaurants. Not a high class hotel but cheap. We had no issues. Stayed one night on way to outer banks.

This place is disgusting and should not be renting rooms to anyone. The room had roaches, and the AC/heat unit was full of mold — you can literally see the black gunk inside the vents. Breathing that all night is not “budget,” it’s a health hazard. The bathroom was just as bad. The shower/tub is peeling and worn out, like it’s never been properly maintained. The whole room feels run-down and dirty. Security and maintenance are a joke. There was a gap around the door big enough to let bugs (and who knows what else) in. On top of that, there’s a random outlet hole cut into the wall like someone started a repair and gave up. The curtain was falling down, and fixtures were literally coming off the wall. Positive: Only the price with actually no should be way cheaper. Negative: I gonna go with the nonstop roaches crawling around even on my bed because they're gangster to a point of switching rooms, power went out for 3 hours so sweating for awhile, and let's not forget the whole banister and upstairs walkway about to cave down
