Quality Inn & Suites Ashland near Kings Dominion

Booked because it had a good rating. Should have checked the most recent reviews because from the outside and the lobby it looked ok....the room wasStained carpets, dirty bathroom and when I went to take a shower the toiletries from some prior person were still in the shower ! The TV had no signal! Literally and my husband was looking foward to relax watching Sunday football after being on the road all day. It looks as if the hotel is being used as a welfare hotel. We had a non-refundable rate and it was dark and late to try to argue changing to another hotel. Terrible experience.

Positive: Location Negative: Roach crawling on the bathroom. Couldn’t use my pillows bc they had dust mites in them, made us itch! I had a 2 & 3 yr old, it was unpleasant. My 3 yr old kept scratching his head too and couldn’t sleep! The elevator was broken and we were on 2nd Floor.

We stayed one night February 27, it was one night too many. Cockroaches everywhere in our room. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived, you had to call a number that was displayed on the desk. The room was your basic hotel room, slightly shabby. I accidentally spilled water on the rug and when I cleaned it up discovered the rug had YEARS of dirt and after looking around found stains on the carpet everywhere. Had to wear shoes constantly. The room was also full of COCKROACHES!!!! They were everywhere and on everything. It was disgusting. I’m going to have to leave my over night bag outside when we get home. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I should have read the reviews before staying here!!! The elevator is still not working. I like to wipe everything down with a clorox/ Lysol wipe before using. I went to wipe the refrigerator and there was a ROACH!! it moved to fast for get a picture on day 1. Day 2 before we left I opened the refrigerator again and it was back. Before using the shower mat I looked at it and it was molded on the inside,

Well My Husband and I are both truckers, was nice place to meet on the east coast.. Room was clean, location was perfect for us, were able to park our trucks across the street at the truck stop. Staff was nice, was awesome they actually had working washer and dryer that drys the 1st time. Washer a lil pricey $3/machine so $6 to wash and dry 1 load. But it does have an app for payment. Very convenient for DMV travel and great soft beds for truckers who Need to get out the truck a night or 2. Was able to cook food four our week, we brought our airfryer. Fridge and microwave was convenient. Hotel seems to been recently acquired by the now management or owners, building was being painted, and as with anyone who may buy a home if it's not new, you have repairs to do, have to find out what need
