The Henry Clay Inn

This is truly a hidden gem! The staff, the chefs, oh my just everything was absolutely amazing. They are all so talented and creative and their passion for their craft shows in every morsel. From the salad, to the hand made bread, the entree with the most tender steak and pork I've ever eaten, to the absolutely amazing desserts. And they even have hand made chocolates!!! Please do yourself and favor and check them out. They are a quaint and cozy little piece of wonderful to spend a weekend!!!

Definitely set a date on your calendar at this lovely Inn for Sunday Brunch and request seating on the Porch, weather permitting. It's the perfect spot for locals, travelers and train buffs, as the environment is very relaxing and oftentimes there's music to accompany your savory and satisfying meal. We each had the Quiche of the Day and it was one of the best we have had in quite some time - freshly prepared, not over seasoned/or salty and the perfect portion. Our service was excellent, as several of the wait staff serviced our table since we were given the last seating of the day.|Highly recommend.

I recently ate dinner here The food was amazing! The chef came out and with the food and gave us a breakdown of the meal. Everything was seasoned well and the presentation was great. Will definitely be going back in the future.

I have been wanting to have lunch at the Henry Clay inn for years.. This place is exudes charm. We decided to have lunch. What a treat.! Firstly, who has white linen tablecloths anymore? This place is a class act. We were seated and created by lovely wait staff. I ordered a chicken club and my friend ordered a crab cake. You could tell that the chicken was carved off the bone, A rarity these days. Plus, they offered gluten-free free vegetarian and vegan options on the menu .. The salad that came along with my sandwich was beautifully dressed with homemade pickled onions.. delicious. You don’t expect that from a side salad, but they delivered. We stayed here two nights while attended a local wedding. The first night the reception (for 50+ people) was held here in their dining room. They did an exceptional job taking care of everyone. In the morning the hotel offers a vast array of fresh pastries made in on site. This quaint hotel is in a great spot next to the Amtrak station and downtown Ashland. Their rooms are very clean and appointed nicely. Most importantly, their entire staff was very friendly and professional. Their attention to detail and customer service is unparalleled when compared to typical hotel establishments. Milton, is particular did a great job making us and other guests feel welcome and comfortable. Support the local economy and consider staying here.
