Dancing Bear Lodge Townsend

Friends recommended The Dancing Bear Lodge and Bistro. TOp notch all the way. Everything was perfect. The cabins were in excellent repair. We were greeted by the staff with a gift card and card to celebrate our anniversary, entering the cabin a gift basket was thoughtfully supplied. The firplace was set for later and gave the room ambiance. The Bistro seated us near the crackling fire. Our waiter, Seth was attentive and made our evening special. The food was perfect. The right amount and the flavors and combinations were lovely. Such a peaceful way to spend a celebration.

My husband took me to the restaurant here for my birthday. It was our first time visiting. The atmosphere is great, and the service is top-notch. They were aware it was my birthday, so we were sat in a quiet area. I received a welcome birthday card, a box of mini chocolates made fresh in their bakery, and a recipe card for the drink I got (and loved!). Our server also lit a candle with dessert. Their attention to their guests is just really nice and professional.||We got a cheese plate to start, the vegan option, a fancy burger, and the hummingbird cheesecake for dessert. Wonderful experience at the Dancing bear Lodge. The staff here is very friendly, the cabins are amazing, and everything about the area is just something special. We stayed in the chimney top loft and it was fantastic. Perfectly clean and cozy, including walk-in showers in both the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms. Don’t be fooled by the fact that these are “lofts”. Very roomy and comfortable. Located within super close proximity to the entrance to the park and the Cades Cove area. Highly recommend!

The Dancing Bear Lodge is a nice place to stay, quietly nestled in to the woods. The Appalachian Bistro is on the property, & we enjoyed 2 incredible dinners there. |We stayed in the Jack Pine side of Evergreen cabin. It is a cozy cabin with plenty of space. The main room & the bathroom are both spacious & there is a walk in closet. The Amana heater unit did an excellent job heating the entire room. |The beds are warm & comfortable, & there is a comfortable chair in the corner of the room. |For the most part, the cabin was clean, but the cleaning staff needs to do a better job in certain areas. Made a quick weekend trip to the area. Stayed here. We had a private cabin. It was very nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable. There was a wood burning fireplace. On the porch was a rocking chair, swing, and hot tub. There are two restaurants, a general store, a coffee shop, and a souvenir shop. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Very quiet and beautiful location. We will definitely stay here whenever we visit the area. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
