We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Highland Manor Inn in Townsend, TN. The views of the Smoky Mountains were breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere of Townsend made our trip truly special. We loved exploring the local coffee houses and restaurants, and The Abbey on the river was a highlight — fantastic food in a beautiful setting. One of the best parts of our stay was how close we were to Cades Cove, without having to fight traffic or crowds. It made getting into the park easy and stress-free, which allowed us to truly enjoy the experience. A special thank you to the owner, Sandy, for making us feel so welcome and at home. The rooms were clean, beautifully updated, and the whirlpool tub was absolutely amazing — the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. Breakfast was offer

Staff was great. When my account got cancelled at the hospital one day into our stay I was told they would not refund my money because they needed 72 hour cancellation notice. I get that it needs to be cancelled 72 hours before the reservation starts but NOT during it. No other hotel does this. The rooms were clean but had a damp odor. Breakfast was different breads and cold cereal. Plan on finding a restaurant if you want eggs.

Highland Manor in Townsend offers a nice, comfortable place to stay. The location is perfect for visiting the Great Smokey Mountains, the Little River, or Maryville or Gatlinburg. Being right on the highway makes it easy to get around and there are good places to eat nearby. The pathway runs by the hotel which provides good walking opportunities. The service at the hotel is very helpful. Everything is set up to take advantage of the “quiet side” of the Smokies. This hotel is worth the stay.

You better check your email! I made a two night reservation for a car club event. I made the reservation by phone with Sandy, who was very pleasant. The event was three nights, but I had a conflict and wouldn’t be able to arrive until late on Friday and checking out Sunday. I did receive a confirmation email, but didn’t read it. My mistake! It seems that Sandy made a mistake and booked my reservation for all three nights. I arrived as planned on Friday night just as the front desk was closing, no problem. I got the room key and was told to come back and check in the next morning. When I checked in the next morning Sandy informed me that I would be charged for all three nights. I said that I had only booked two nights and never had any intention on arriving on Thursday. Sandy told me that

Let me start by saying the facility itself is nice. The room was clean and cozy. The only reason I am giving a 1 star is for how the OWNER treated us. We go to check in and I accidentally booked the wrong hotel (was suppose to be the Tremont but booked here instead) not a huge deal except they don’t accept pets. I asked BEFORE getting our room key if this was okay as they are service animals and if not we could get a refund and go elsewhere. The front staff lady said yes this is fine, I then ask if she needed proof, she said no we actually can’t ask for them just have to take your word. I said okay, then double checked we would not be charged the fees and she agreed we would not. We go on about our weekend (stayed 3 nights) as we are loading the car to check out the owner BARGED in and s
