Pioneer Cabins & Guest Farms

My husband discovered this fantastic destination through the Airbnb app. We were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary and wanted to go somewhere besides Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, while still staying close to the Smoky Mt Nat'l Park. We were 100% blown away by Pioneer Cabins. We could not believe the excellent accommodation in a paradise setting offered at such a reasonable rate! We chose one of their honeymoon cabins ("Trail's End"). The cabin was as charming as anyone could ask, and all the amenities, from hot tub to AC to bed, TV, kitchen and bathroom were clean and in perfect order. Add to that a spectacular view and we hardly wanted to leave the cabin! Went there for a girls’ weekend. We loved it! Rustic but clean, cozy and comfortable. Mattresses on bunks were a bit thin but otherwise no complaints. The animals on the farm were delightful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the wood-burning stove. We stayed in the Bunkhouse Cabin and could watch the owners getting their horses ready to take families on trail rides. Their horses are beautiful and obviously ver well cared for. We would definitely stay here again. Peaceful and soothing environment.

We stayed here last week during our trip to Smoky mountains with my husband and daughter.||We stayed in the Roosters Cabin. The cabin was beautiful, totally updated and extremely clean. Internet was surprisingly good (I was having zoom work meetings with perfect connection), and it had a new and super nice Jacuzzi and bbq outside. ||The hosts were great during the whole week, explaining my daughter about plants and the garden, showing her how to pick eggs from the hens, how to feed the hens or the goats. She had an amazing time. ||I was surprised to come by to such an amazing place by chance on the internet. ||After seeing the craziness of Gatlinburg packed with people and traffic jams, Townsend was the perfect choice for us to visit the Smokeys. ||Would definitely stay here again if we go

My wife and I spent a week in the Bunkhouse cabin and we enjoyed every second of our time there. Diane at Pioneer Cabins was so friendly and helpful. I never met Roger but did talk to him on the phone when reserving the cabin and he was friendly and helpful too. Diane made us feel so welcome and at home. She had a beautiful organic garden and offered us free freshly laid organic eggs and other fresh picked organic food. We took her up on the eggs and they were wonderful. Diane even supplied the cabin with homemade soap she makes. It was so nice to see they had three bee hives too and the bees were were busy visiting all the pretty flowers being grown there. We stayed in the Bunk House. We love love love Townsend, Tennessee and Pioneer Cabins & Guest Farm. Diane and Roger, the owners, are like family we get to see on special occasions. We always sleep better in the mountains and especially well on the big Bunk House bed. We had fresh farm eggs at breakfast this morning that Diane graciously shared with us. Walking the trails within the farm, mountain spring time flowers were there to greet me. The goats, horses, mules, and chickens remind me of my childhood on the farm. My heart longs for the smokies and this farm welcomes our family back at every return.
