Crowne Plaza Springfield - Convention Ctr by IHG

We stayed here for the 2026 IAAF convention, the hotel is nice, the housekeeping and front desk staff were beyond great! I would definitely say that the rooms could use a little updating, like the ceiling in the bathroom, maybe a new tub, and maybe the carpet in the hallway could get redone. Other than that, the beds and the rest of the room was excellent! The new carpet on the third floor looks awesome as well. I am glad they are starting to work on improvements to make guest experience better. We can’t wait to stay at the Crowne Plaza next year for the 2027 IAAF Convention!

When I first walked into my room I thought things were 'strange' because the longed for king sized bed was cattycorner instead of straight on to the adjacent wall. I was wrong. It fit the elements of the room allowing for a quaint sized lounging couch. The lighting options in this room was unmatched to many of the rooms and suites I've recently stayed in. No microwave in the room if you're looking for one. There is a little fridge and coffee maker in the room. There's also a safe in the closet. The bed and pillows were everything I had hoped for after such a long day. The bathroom is roomy with a tub/shower. The water took no time to get warm and it didn't feel hard. The bath/shower towels didn't have the most freshest smell to them but they were somewhat soft. Not scratchy on the skin.

Room was clean, comfortable, and updated. After reading I was hesitant but was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. The only downside was that there were multiple events going on, which made it a bit hectic on the first and second levels. It was also a long walk through the poorly-lit parking lot because of all the people there. Overall, I’d stay again if I were in the area but I might consider a smaller property if not going for an event.

Went here for a wedding expo for my niece. It was set up nicely and lots of vendors. Really helped to be bride's get an idea of all the moving parts of putting together the wedding of their dreams. Everything from dj music, invitations,dresses,food,photographer,tuxedos,and everything else you could think of under 1 roof. We had a great time and lots of laughs

I want to like this place but it seems extremely mismanaged. To start, the check in is on the second floor, this makes its extremely inconvenient for no apparent reason. While I was there we had one bartender, one escalator, and what appeared to be one elevator working. There was a military event and a gala taking place and only one bartender working. No idea why but that's what happened. We ended up leaving and went to an actual bar. The prices at the bar were extremely overpriced, if they were within 30% of normal bar prices, I would have stayed but some drinks were twice as much as any other bar. I'm talking these prices were priced the same as Nashville. The elevators sometimes never stopped on the floor it seemed and you were better off going up and then coming back down. I think 2 we
