Courtyard by Marriott Wilmington Brandywine

God forbid you get involved with the management here. We stayed for 4 days, roofers were doing their thing before the snow and our room was in the middle of it the whole stay, shingles hitting our window, the loudest thing you could hear for the whole 4 day stay, I spoke to the front desk who said he would comp me 2 of the 4 days. I said ok and checked out 12 hours early, the next day I saw a charge on my CC showing he had actually CHARGED me for an extra 2 nights. I called and that was dealt with. I asked about my 2 nights and they had forgot about it so I asked to speak to the GM, he will not return calls and is apparently never there. So I called customer support and god forbid you do this and get Bailey or Liliana because they refused to let me send them video proof of the shingles cr

I have been staying in this hotel every couple of months for over 10 years when I am upstate for meetings. The location is excellent, the price is reasonable, and the staff are terrific. But the building seems to be falling slowly apart. I had no hook on my bathroom door, just an inch of protruding screw. The bathtub housing had some kind of leak that flooded the entire bathroom every time I took a shower. I could have waved that away — the room was clean and quiet, and I slept well — but on the second day I decided to take a swim…||The pool is closed for maintenance about half the time, but this time it was open. Unfortunately, it was beyond filthy. The water level was low, and the entire circumference had a scummy two-inch bathtub ring FULL OF HAIR. I have never seen anything so disgusti

The room is OK. Two queen beds we’re at least clean and made when we got there. The TV was surprisingly smaller than I expected, not that we used it much. Nice to have a Starbucks in the lobby. And the staff there were excellent. I was a bit surprised, even in this time of Covid, that there wasn’t some kind of breakfast offered. And the pool being closed was a bit of a surprise too. Other hotels we stayed at I’ve had reduced hours but, the pool was at least open

I recently visited this location on business and while the staff and service was exemplary, the room left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll start by saying the shower was missing a door or something because I couldn't close off the opening to keep my towel and floormat dry. The mattress was not the most comfortable and there was no "firm" pillow available, they were all very soft/squishy. Not sure if would stay a 2nd time, although I will reiterate that the staff was 1 of the best and most friendly I've come across in my travels.

The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. It appears the hotel has had many updates. The room was very nice but the AC system was a little loud. The grout in the toilet area needed attention. I would stay there again.
