Courtyard by Marriott West Palm Beach Airport

This hotel is so much in need of renovation. Did not expect it from Marriott. Everything is really old or broken. Smells bad. They are using too much or air refreshers or perfumes hide run down carpets and old furniture. Phone in room had only half of buttons. Whole feel of room was as if from grandparents time. Room furniture is chipped.

Disgusting. Walked into room to giant stain across entire floor. The couch was stained and the room smelled awful. Went to front desk and of course they did not have same type room. No manager was available to refund my stay on the spot. Ended up calling another hotel around midnight to find a place to stay.

Positive: I liked the location of this hotel. Plus, the restaurant and snack area. Plus, the staff were friendly and helpful. Negative: When I arrived in my room, a roach was crawling on the table. Then, the shower didn?t work. Also, no hot water till my second day of visit. I wish the hotel informed me that $100 would be expected when checking in.

Hector at the reception desk is an absolute star. He deserves so much credit. He was personable, kind, and very thoughtful. He remembered my husband and I mentioned we were going to a music festival and he asked us about it the next day. We asked him for pool towels and he thoughtfully added a couple water bottles for us “to stay hydrated”. He’s just so talented at customer service interactions. The housekeeping staff were also wonderful and very sweet. Daisy from housekeeping made us feel very cared for.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, my room had a strong mildew odor, which made it very uncomfortable. The refrigerator malfunctioned and froze all of my food, and the room lacked basic furnishings such as a couch or adequate space to place personal belongings. Overall, the accommodations did not meet reasonable standards of comfort. I was staying at the property with a group of fellow JetBlue flight attendants after our company made a last-minute hotel change. As airline crew members, our accommodations and checkout times are arranged and paid for directly by our company.
