Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Westshore/Airport

This hotel is a lot older than the photos show. The airport shuttle came quickly after I called and it runs until midnight which is great. When I arrived, I was not given an upgrade even though I was a Silver Elite member. In fact, I was given a room on the 2nd floor facing the highway sound barrier. I asked for a late check out since I was entitled to it and the front desk lady added it when I checked in, however housekeeping was banging on my door before 11am asking when I was checking out (normal check out is still 12pm and late check out is 2pm). Overall it wasn't a bad stay, but it fell short of expectations and definitely isn't worth the cost they are asking per night.

Rooms have microwaves and decent sized mini fridge. Property looks like it went through a renovation in the last 10 years. Room wasn't fully cleaned (i.e. hair in bathroom and couch had large crumbs/other debris). There's no complimentary water at this property. Bottles are $6 in the room. Freeway is very loud, especially at night. You can hear all the planes taking off and landing at the airport. You will be able to hear anyone in the room next door to you.

Rooms are so nice. Bed is comfortable but the pillows are not. Bring your own pillow if you can. Lobby is lovely though I wish the breakfast menu had less items with tomatoes (allergies). The shower was great and the provided soap, shampoo and conditioner smelled so good.

We were put up in this hotel for 1 night by Virgin after our flight was cancelled due to a storm.||Arriving very late at night, we queued for nearly an hour to check in with only one person dealing with a lot of travellers from our flight.||The room was big with 2 large beds, but very tired and not clean. We found hairs in the bathroom, bits on the floor, and dust on ledges. The cost of this hotel we would have expected free bottled water rather than 6 dollars for a small bottle! The room did not have a safe, which again was surprising. I would compare this hotel to a Travelodge in the UK but a lot more expensive! ||The positives are the reception staff, so happy and friendly. The outside swimming pool area is also very nice

The staff was great with one stupid exception. The room was ok, but the AC seemed a little weak and the room stayed humid. Also, our top floor room faced the freeway and it was a little noisy. One of the more annoying things, the smoke detector has a VERY bright flashing light. We were able to ignore it but it is a stupid thing to have over a bed. The annoying thing. At breakfast I asked for iced tea, they have tea on the Starbucks menu. They said they couldn't make iced tea and I should get it from the hotel pantry - bottled. Well, I didn't by the bottled tea, when my breakfast was brought out (not bad) I was asked if I wanted water, I said yes and was brought ice water, so they have tea, they have ice? There was easy access to the airport, particularly the rental car return. Th
