Courtyard by Marriott Springfield Airport

To have a person like Kiki at the front desk and to have as the first interaction was pleasant. She was kind, funny and easy to work with during check in. She was fast and efficient in a time when I just want to get to my room and rest. Food situation isn't ideal but whatever. I would have like some sort of free breakfast even if its just breads, cereal and juice. I dont have time to sit and order from a restaurant when I have business to tend to.

While waiting for a drink last month, I overheard two employees (bistro/bartenders) confirming with each other that they’re not getting their tips in their paychecks. I travel to Springfield, MO quarterly and will now stay at another Marriott/Bonvoy property. Also, this past trip, I stayed Monday through Friday and never had my room cleaned or towels refreshed. However, I still rated this hotel 4 stars because staff was friendly and I felt safe as a solo female business traveler.

The room was very clean. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. The room itself lacked any type of decor. Not even a picture on the wall. The towels were thread bare and almost see through. The coffee pot needed to be descaled. Very slow. The toilet ran unless shaking the handle.

Positive: The restaurant in the hotel has DELICIOUS breakfast (additional cost). Negative: Our door wouldn?t shut without slamming it.?and even then it was a 50/50 chance of it actually closing. There was an inch wide gap between the door and frame. Absolutely ZERO privacy!! The AC didn?t work. Our room was never cleaned during our stay.

Hotel was recently remodeled and it showed. Great service from the chap option on the app. We were arriving late and they accommodated us. Room was clean and spacious. Good for a one night stay. Would stay again and recommend. God bless this location.
