Courtyard by Marriott McAllen Airport

After checking in/unpacking, we called the desk to notify them that the TV wasn’t working. Maintenance arrived and was unable to fix it and we were told that we would need to change rooms. We thanked him for trying, and told him we were tired, and that we’d make the room change the following morning (X-Mas.) Please know that we were not upset about the TV not working; knowing that these things happen and cannot be controlled; rather we were upset with the attitude of the desk agent that we approached on Christmas morning to assist us with the room change. Early the morning of the 25th. we approached the desk and spoke with the agent (Donte) who obviously had worked the overnight shift. I explained the situation, and my husband asked if the new room assignment would be near our current room

Marriott Titanium. I tried to handle things with hotel management, but heard crickets. ||I seldom complain, but this situation it’s warranted. I tried to resolve the issue with management, but did not receive a response. I came this property with four boxes of cereal, a spoon and a large bowl. When my room was cleaned the bowl disappeared, although the spoon and boxes of cereal remained. Rather comical situation, I took it in stride, I assumed the property’s dishes looked similar, so the housekeeper took it. No big deal. My wife doesn’t know the bowls gone; I’ll be fine. ||However, I bought a pair of boots at a local sports store while staying at the property and unfortunately, they did not fit. The team here makes staying worth it! Octavio and Chris in the morning with Alex in the evening making amazing pizzas, they deliver great service and you can tell they love what they do! The rooms are clean and the facility is amazing and spacious! Highly recommend a stay here when in McAllen! I won’t stay anywhere else!

Overall, my stay was alright. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They definitely made it more enjoyable to stay. However, I was concerned with the cleanliness of my room. There was a dirty dried up contact left on the floor of the bathroom and the office chair seat was torn up. I also had dirty glasses, that were mine, that were left in my room that were not picked up by the cleaning staff. The room itself was nice, but the bed was uncomfortable to sleep on. The food was good and they have quite a bit of options for breakfast that I enjoyed. Not a bad hotel to stay in, but they need to ensure the room is clean before the next guest comes.

Great staff! Check in was a breez! rooms smelled good and clean. Right by airport! Accidentally left my neck pillow. Called and they found it so quickly, and I was able to return to get it. Thank you!
