Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Houghton, MI

We had a very nice stay here at the end of the busy tourist season. It checked all my boxes for pleasant and helpful staff, safety, cleanliness, comfy linens, convenient charging outlets, and well-maintained rooms. The breakfast was good with the usual hot and cold choices. The lobby is very welcoming and cozy, but small. Would definitely stay here again!

Nichole and her team were amazing hosts for our group. They worked in partnership with us every step of the way, and all of the staff we encountered were friendly, kind and helpful. The accommodations were great, and the breakfast was good, too. 10/10 - highly recommend!!

Very clean hotel. Staff is wonderful! I was very impressed with their breakfast because it’s very fresh and staff ensure it’s stocked. Hotel is in a perfect location. Pool area is great for kids of all ages. I believe the big pool is only 4 feet deep while kid fountain pool area is a foot deep. Pool area has a “no kid hours” at the end of the day. Only complaint is that it is easy to hear people above and aside you in your room.

Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk to check me in. I rang the bell and looked for a worker for over 5 minutes before someone finally came out of the office to greet me. The sink and mirror in the bathroom of my room were dirty. I had to clean them myself before use. There was a fresh water mark in the ceiling by the window. The breakfast eggs were gone at 8:15 and the 20 minutes I spent in the dining area no one came to replenish or check. I have stayed here before, always had a great experience, however after this 4th stay I will be trying a different hotel in Houghton when I return in a few months. It was not worth the premium price that was charged.

The evening clerk the two nights we stayed was very helpful and went out of his way to find information for me to stay at a Choice Motel in Marquette, MI during this very busy fall leaf season. My wife said the swimming pool was the ideal temperature and so was the hot pool. The continental breakfast each morning was very good and the lady in charge was friendly. The bed mattress was firmer than other motels we stayed in during this trip and I slept better. Thank you for a good stay. Please let the boss of the evening clerk for the nights of October 2 and 3 know that this is an employee who should be kept and groomed for higher employment with your company, As a retired school teacher, I am confident in my assessment of this employee as a hard worker.
