Copper Country Inn

Location from the college was awesome, but that's where it stops. Beds were terrible, not comfortable at all and under the bed was trash and standing dust. We had a coffee maker but no cups or coffee. The water is boiling hot so be careful. This weird door in the bathroom wouldn't stay shut, the lights in the bathroom wouldn't stay on and the door would stick and give you a little panic like you were locked in. The way they have the main bed the bathroom light shines right in your face if your sleeping and someone uses the bathroom. The heat would default to 75 and the curtains wouldn't close all the way so the sign light went right in your face. They gave us two bath towels for a room that sleeps 6 to 7 people and a half roll of toilet paper. This was the suite we stayed in. Ended up cutt

Overall this place was comfortable, priced well for the area and just a few miles from town. The room looked clean overall but there was a spot behind the TV that hadnbeen cleaned in a long time and also the air conditioner was filled with dust. Normally we wouldn't have noticed the air conditioner situation but this one was above the bed and when we touched it clumps of dust fell on the pillows. The room offered a nice desk space plus a microwave and refrigerator. The refrigerator was a bit small for our needs but still thankful it was available. They offer coffe, hot tea and hot chocolate along with a breakfast bar in the morning. A negative for us is no decaf available. There are not coffee makers in the room. We stayed there for winter carnival and visiting my friends daughter who goes to school there. They accommodated us after seeing there was only one bed. The front desk person Brandy was so very helpful. Also, I left a couple of things behind, and they are willing to send it. That is excellent customer service.

The inn was busy, but quiet and all we needed was a clean place to sleep. And it was clean and reasonably priced. Our air conditioner did not work, and it was quite humid and very warm in the room- temp said 78… and the attendant on duty did nothing. But it was a nice location and a great Mexican restaurant was less than 3 mins away..

Overall experience was horrible. We booked the room under the understanding that the hotel was pet friendly. When we arrived for check in, We were rudely told that there is only 1 pet friendly room available and that room was taken. Since we had already booked the room and had someone on the way (4.5 hr drive) we decided to keep the room. The beds were awful, there was no had soap in the bathroom, the dust layers over the majority of the items in the place really makes me wonder how clean it really is. We had to ask for more toilet paper because there were two partial rolls, almost empty. And my partner ended up sleeping in the car with the dog because that wasn't fair to the dog.
