Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Dunn I-95

We had to come to town for a funeral and rented a hotel room. The pictures online look great for a nice price. Upon arriving front desk was very nice and helpful. Everything looked clean and smelled fine. The location is a bit shady but we overlooked it. Walking into the room I noticed large brown stains on the carpet , there was a lounge chair in the room with stains all over the sides . I always check my hotel rooms when staying my toddler got into the bed and I noticed blood all over the comforter, fitted sheet, and flat sheet. It was everywhere . I looked behind the bed and box spring was full of dust, hair and crumbs . I asked for sheets but they moved our room instead. We walked into the next room only for it to look like it hadn’t been vacuumed properly. There was pieces of tissue

The room was adequate with a comfortable bed. The TV was difficult to navigate and the remote required much pressure on the buttons to operate. The worst experience was the day we left. There were no plates in the breakfast area, and it took about 15 minutes for them to be brought. By that time we put our food in the bowls that were there. There was no milk in the milk thermos. When we returned to our room after breakfast, neither of our key cards would open our room. they had been sitting on the counter all night in the room. The housekeeper graciously let us into the room. I will say that the staff was pleasant. Additionally, when we were leaving, the mechanical sliding exit door would not open and had to be pushed open manually. Given many options in the area, we will not return to you

In my opinion, some of the staff were not interested in customer satisfaction. On Morning 1, there were no forks at breakfast, they apparently ran out early that morning. On Day 2, there were still no forks at breakfast, I went down 15 minutes before they opened, and asked, and they (2 workers) mentioned that there were no forks, I asked if they could talk to the manager and have someone go to the store to get more (0.1 mile away). An hour later, I went to breakfast... no forks. I spoke to the manager, and he knew nothing of the shortage. He sent someone out to get it at that point. The staff needs to deliver a great Customer satisfaction, at all costs. Not sure what kind of training the personnel receive in this regard. Ideal location, friendly and responsive staff and a clean room, good price point. My only issues were as follows: 1) I had to get my room keys reset twice. Not sure why they stopped working. 2) Housekeeper having a conversation on her cell phone via speaker; listening to her music on her cell phone via speaker. It was loud enough to wake me up rendering the "do not disturb" sign useless. Please have housekeeping consider using bluetooth. 3) Shower did not drain appropriately, very slow. 4) Ice machine needs fixing. It dispenses water with the ice. This is inconvenient as it turns into one large lump of ice once it's place into the freezer in the room. 5) The freezer could use defrosting. Very refreshing hotel! Quiet and peaceful! Good food in the area to order in. Amazing staff! Will definitely be back soon for my next business trip.
