Comfort Inn Dunn near I-95

We find that the front desk staff here are so nice. The rooms are always clean and roomy and we really like the breakfasts from the dining room in the mornings. Great variety of offerings to please me and my wife. I'm a sausage and eggs kind of guy and she's a yogurt and fresh fruit kind of girl. The orange juice and coffee are always great and all the good stuff to add to a coffee is there too. The hotel is usually quite quiet as well. This is the perfect first night stop for us as we come down from Ontario on our way to Florida.

Clean room, small but exactly what we needed. The TV was interesting to I'm figure out , it's default is Pluto TV. It had a slight hesitation when you push the buttons on the remote. The bathroom was small, no toiletries offered but face soap. The shower is for one person only. The price wasn't a terrible deal for one night stay. The lady at the desk took a while to get her computer to confirm our room, but afterwards it was quick sailing and we were in our room to rest.

The check in was easy and we were given a first floor room to make it easier to take the dog out. The check-in staff was very friendly and returned a very important item I had misplaced when checking in That alone was a special honest effort to take care of their customers.

The vibe has changed at this hotel since Amanda, the Front Desk manager, retired. Not as friendly a place anymore. When he saw me taking some coffee & a muffin to my room, the night desk clerk felt that it was a good idea to inform me from about 15 feet away that the breakfast buffet didn't start until 6am (it was about 20 to 6!) I informed him that my wife was a diabetic, & needed to eat, which I shouldn't have had to do. Just not the same place anymore...

Decent hotel I would visit again. Best blackout curtains in the business! Bed super comfortable, breakfast even had vegan options of oatmeal, grits, fruits and juice. Coffee top notch. Wake-up digital clock alarm easy to figure out. Not so much the TV, but I didn't have much time to watch. Thanks to GPS, I found the entrance at 1 am even with road construction. Front desk people very helpful. Good a/c. Two things I had to work around - the hospital-grade disinfectant the efficient housekeeper uses has a VERY strong smell, so much so, I took a towel and damp-mopped my floor and the sink afterward to make it habitable. Second, some of the pillows have a smoky (or |even marijuana) type odor and should be replaced or washed. Front desk was informed about that when I left; hopefully the
