This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time I stayed was when it was still a Courtyard by Marriott hotel. The second time was shortly after it was rebranded to a Country Inn & Suites by Radisson and at the time, it was supposedly undergoing a renovation. I'm not sure if the hotel renovation has been completed yet, but I was not very impressed with what I saw approximately one year after I stayed here last. The carpet in the room I had was still the old carpet from before and it was stained, albeit it was clean. The nightstands and desk appeared to be old and rundown. There were no USB ports to charge devices. At least, I had packed an AC adapter so I was able to charge my devices. The only thing that appeared to be newer was the TV stand. I had reserved a room with a
Reserved room with balcony. When i arrived, I was giving first floor. Opened the door to see a spider. The fridge was so loud it made it hard to sleep. The room had no microwave. I was woken the next morning at 4:44am by the room beside mine, the TV was extremely loud. Th final straw was the sheets were very dirty. I have pictures but cannot attach to this survey. I expressed my concern at the front desk to lady named Bishop, but she was not apologetic at all. I was finally given another room on the second floor for the reminder of the stay. I would like to give Country Inn and Suited a chance to make this right before writing my review. If you would like the pictures of the sheets, please reach out to me.
Upon arrival and checking in, I was told that the swimming pool was out of order which they never indicated on any of their websites, that was very disappointing due to the fact that that was the reason I booked the hotel! Then we got in our room and the toilet was nonfunctioning, we had to change rooms and go to another. The room was outdated and needed some work. The only thing that was new was the carpet and there was a strong smell of new carpet! we were taking a friend home that lived in Pennsylvania and they got a room on Sunday and in their room, they ended up not having any heat so we had to have that worked on and she was by herself, so I sat in the room with her while she had it fixed! I was very disappointed that I was unable to take my grandkids to the pool, and there was no co
PROS: Visited Altoona for a convention. First time staying at the hotel connected to the con instead of one of the others within a five-to-ten minute drive. Self-parking (no valet fee!), clean room, comfortable beds, access to continental breakfast and the fact that we could check in earlier than 3pm because our room was ready with no additional charge is what gives this a three. Please keep in mind that we did call ahead to see if we could check in early and it was only because the room was available the night before, and therefore didn't need to be cleaned. If the hotel had been fully booked the previous night, we would have had to wait til 230-3pm to check in. CONS: On both the website and our reservation we were informed that our room had a microwave AND a fridge. This turned out to b
First issue was that we reserved a king suite but when we tried to check in we were told it wasn’t available so we had to take a queen size room. When we walked into the room and turned on the lights the covers were pulled back and the fitted sheet was pulled half off to reveal a HUGE yellow stain on the mattress. My husband went down to the desk and we were given another room. That room had blood stains on the comforter, the lamp shades looked like they were put on the floor and stepped on and put back on the lamp. The mattress cover was ripped apart. The he next morning I realized that I left something in the first room we were assigned and the lady at the desk said “give me your phone number and we’ll call if we find it”. Like she was too busy to go check the room quick to see if it was
