Cottonwood Hot Springs Inn & Spa

I have been going to Cottonwood Hot Springs for decades. It is the only hot spring I go to. I love the relaxed, rustic, atmosphere. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I prefer that it is "family owned and operated". I would never go to a bougie resort as that is simply not my scene. Cottonwood is perfect and the minerals in this water are the best in Colorado. I have been to all the others and this is the only one I continue to go to - we try to come up 1x per month at least.

My friends and I stopped by the springs after hiking and spending time in the mountains. This is a must if you're looking for a nice quiet place to relax, enjoy good conversations, and a very positive atmosphere. The staff are super nice and ready to help with anything you need. The front lady Victoria is incredibly warm and hospitable. The experience is truly enhanced by the staff's smiles and welcoming energy. The water was awesome. I felt truly relaxed as I closed my eyes and heard the spring water pouring into the pool. Highly recommend

The springs here are absolutely incredible. When we come out to Leadville we make our way to Cottonwood Hot Springs for a nice soak after playing in the mountains. The staff is very friendly, the soaking pools are clean and very relaxing. I love how they record and update the temperatures of the pools on their white board. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. I did not stay at the inn. It looks quite dated and is super old school. I wouldn’t bring the kiddos. Def best for adults.

Of the 7 of us in my group, 5 are from our of town, self included. $30/pp- I felt fair pricing but to other's reviews it is run down. One toilet but many shower stalls which I appreciated The cold plunge is uniquely in the creek which I thought was awesome. I loved the varying hot springs They ask that you only out sunscreen on your face vs your body (today was sunny). Not sure I agree with that. Whilt I appreciate that it's family oriented I didn't appreciate kids, to be fair-being kids... I think the compromise could be family days vs non family days. I travelled from TN and others from AZ so when I think hot springs I think relaxing and the temp was great but general atmosphere not so much. *I visited Tuesday like mid day. Cottonwood is probably my favorite hot springs in Colorado. Not for fancy buildings, but because the pools are built with areas to recline and the whole place has a real down to earth vibe. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. In the spa, Heather Evans is phenomenal in reflexology and aesthetics. Her knowledge is vast, attention to detail is deep, while providing a fantastic, relaxing experience. She makes you feel like you're the only person in the world. For a great place to unwind in a healing environment, I highly recommend Cottonwood Hot Springs!
