Comfort Suites

After I booked I read reviews and was skeptical. The customer service was okay, she was pleasant. The hotel itself looks a little run down but not horrible. Our room was decently clean. There were noticeable stains on sofa cushions. The sheets had a few hairs on but clean. The bathroom was clean however the toliet seat was broken and we had to be very careful not to have it completely come off. Same issue in their lobby bathroom. The elevator was a little scary but its due to the age. It functioned well just slow. I can't comment on breakfast since we had to be on the road before it started. I wouldn't say I highly recommend however If you're on a budget and just need a place to sleep it's fine. I will add the beds were super comfy.

Positive: The breakfast, even though it wasn't that great Negative: ALOT. The microwave in my room did not work and they would not replace it. There were cockroaches in our room and they didn't respond to moving us until around 2pm the next day while we were at the zoo & unable to move rooms. The heated pool was cold

We were very happy with the Hotel. Some reviews since we booked were quite negative, which made us nervous, but the hotel was obviously taking feedback seriously (there was a review that someone wanted access to a water bottle fill station, and they had one set up in the foyer when we arrived). The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, while some things were dated, it was well maintained and clean and the beds were better than many hotels I have been in. As a group we had two rooms and saw no evidence of bedbugs/roaches as referred to in past reviews. The breakfast was standard for hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, assortment of cereals, bread/bagels, yogurt, fruits, etc). We also used the pool and it was standard for any hotel pool.

The staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful. Room was cleaned each day, the motels floors vacuumed each day . The house cleaning crew were always keeping all areas clean . Hot meals avaliable each morning, coffee and tea. Would we stay again? Yes most definitely!

Staff were nice and understanding the entire stay. Immediately walking inside there was a strong cleaning product smell that took over the place. Once we checked in and went to the room, there was an extremely strong musty smell that took over, a smell I would assume was mold. The smell was only at the entrance of the room, but was so strong that it was unbearable. Bed was clean and overall the living room seemed fine. In the bathroom there were a lot of more issues. There was a hole above the shower that was exposed, yet dry. A couple of small bugs were found which we found out would be roaches. We cancelled our 3 day stay to 1 and while leaving ran into two more roaches.
