Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel

We enjoyed a fabulous girl's getaway birthday celebration weekend at The Kimpton Cottonwood. This was my second visit and I will stay again. It's simply my favorite hotel in Omaha!|A charming old hotel with an amazing and attentive staff!|From the second we arrived, we felt pampered and well taken care of. The valet and bellhop service was impeccable! Everytime we came and went, such prompt and courteous service! As a bonus, we each got free carwash tickets!|Our gorgeous room with a view was spacious and sparkling clean!|We enjoyed the free cocktail hour, and lovely breakfast and coffee downstairs in their historic restaurant! The Reuben hash is so yummy!|Thanks for a fun and fabulous celebration. I can't wait to come visit again!

Vehicle broken into: I would not stay here if you have a vehicle. Upon arrival at the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, we were approached by the valet and encouraged to use their service. We were not told that our vehicle would be parked overnight in an off-site lot with a well-documented history of break-ins that is easily found in public Google reviews, nor were we given any warnings, alternatives, or disclosures. We also did not sign or acknowledge any service agreement. By handing our vehicle to the valet, a bailment was created, which is a legal term meaning you temporarily entrust your property to someone else with the expectation that it will be reasonably cared for and returned safely. Based on that, we reasonably assumed that valet parking at a hotel of this caliber meant our vehicle a

Positive: Very nice looking Negative: No pool. Parking was limited. Not easy to get to due to construction. Room was small. Expensive dining and bar.

This review is only for the afternoon tea. We got lucky with parking across the street due to construction, otherwise you have to pay for valet. The hotel was nice and the tea room vibe was neat. There was only one server for the room so although our server wasn't rude, she was fairly busy and seemed rushed to take care of everyone. This was our first time going to something like this and we didn't know what to expect, so having a bit more interaction would've been nice. The food was decent and tea was good, but overall pretty expensive for what it was.

We booked this hotel as a staycation for New Years via the chase travel app with The Edit benefits. Pros: Great location. Beautiful property with nice amenities: two restaurants, bars and a pool. Welcome credit for the bar. $50 per room breakfast credit. Pet friendly and great drinks at the bar. Room beautifully decorated. Cons: We got an upgrade, but not what we were expecting in comparison what other properties offer with The edit benefits (we are also platinum with IHG). No free water in the room ($5 for water in room) no coffee or tea. The TV didn’t work; we called and no one showed up for 1hr or so we called back and cancelled so we could go on about our day.
